Alison is an accomplished leader who has helped to run multiple environmental and planning consultancies for over two decades. She is a fully qualified and charted town planner (MRTPI) and an expert planning witness.  Her knowledge of renewables is first in class.

Alison has provided advice to clients on their survey requirements and then co-ordinated with specialists to provide project compliance.

About Alison

Alison has over 20 years working in consultancy delivering consenting and EIA services. She has delivered on a wide range of projects over the years from commercial to retail and housing. Since 2010, she has specialised in the delivery of renewable energy developments for both onshore and offshore projects. In particular, she is an expert witness in onshore renewable projects where she has given evidence to inquiry session under cross examination. 

Over the last 24 years, Alison has worked with Montagu Evans delivering planning services, for SLR consulting leading the Scottish EIA team, Stephenson Halliday (part of RSK) where she was instrumental in setting up the Edinburgh office and most recently Natural Power where she was the Director for Onshore Consenting and Environment.

The projects which Alison has worked on have included sites across the UK, ranging from onshore wind farms, hydro schemes, solar farms, battery energy storage systems and offshore wind projects in England and Scotland. She has worked for a wide range of clients from private individuals and family-owned companies to multi-national energy suppliers. Alison has delivered for clients at the early feasibility and site finding stage of projects all the way through to consents compliance through construction and operation.

Following her decision to leave Natural Power, Alison is delighted to team up with William as part of the founding of ReAmp.  The creation of ReAmp is a hugely exciting opportunity and one which she is delighted to be part of given the current opportunities which is exist for the renewables industry in the coming years.

  • BsocSC in Geography and Planning (University of Birmingham)
